Finding time for yoga.
Life as a parent (or soon-to-be parent) is hard. No matter the age of your children, it feels like you could never be busier than you are right now. And then next year is busier yet. Yoga helps slow down these moments of rush, rush, rush and allows you and your child to be present and peaceful in a world that is telling us to constantly be moving.
Feels Like OM Family Yoga is a yoga studio in Springfield, VA that specializes in all things family. We want to be a calming, peaceful second home for you where all your responsibilities just disappear at the door. Whether you're currently pregnant, looking to make new mom or dad friends, or just need a physical outlet as a way to ease into this huge transition in your life, we're here for you. If you haven't already, come and experience the wonders that yoga can do for stressed and tense bodies.
After completing her 200 hour yoga teacher training (while pregnant), Erin realized how much she enjoyed teaching Prenatal Yoga and how wonderful it was for mommies-to-be. After moving to Springfield she realized the need for mommy-related classes in this community. Starting out, Erin taught prenatal yoga from her home studio and then as her yogis transitioned from pregnancy to motherhood, she added Postnatal and Baby & Me classes. Her desire to bring yoga to kids didn't stop with the babies, though, she then added TOT Yoga so she could share the yoga she was doing with her own little one with friends! Her idea of opening a kids yoga studio while teaching school then became opening a family yoga studio. Feels Like OM is for you and every member of your family.
No matter what stage of parenthood you're in (pregnant, recently postpartum, or with a toddler, preschool or school-aged child at home), Feels Like OM welcomes you with open arms. And, don't forget, we have kid-free classes for anyone (moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grammy, gramps, etc!) that just needs a little more yoga in their life.
